WELCOME ONBOARD LYNGAA MARINE

The BSI Marine Equipment Group is delighted to announce its expansion with the purchase of the Danish control systems company Lyngaa Marine.

Lyngaa Marine is a maritime technology company that creates alarm and control systems for superyachts, commercial marine, fishing boats and large ship sectors. Founded in 2008, these alarms and controls range from simple override systems for a small fishing vessel to more complex control systems for workboats, ferries, superyachts and large supply ships.

Speaking on the purchase of Lyngaa Marine, Mark Barwell, Chief Commercial Officer for the BSI Marine Equipment Group said, “The Group has worked closely with Lyngaa Marine for several years using their excellent controls in both Hundested and Ocean Marine Systems (OMS) propulsion and thruster deliveries. Their technical knowledge and experience are second to none, and I am excited to see them join the BSI Marine Equipment Group.”

Per Christiansen of Lyngaa Marine will remain as general manager said, “Today Lyngaa Marine can deliver all types of automation for a ship’s engine room and propulsion. I look forward to continuing the business in the same spirit as we always have done, and I am pleased to have gained new colleagues and new inspiration in the form of the BSI Marine Equipment Group.”

Lyngaa Marine is based in Birkerød, 30 minutes north of Copenhagen.

Brands within the BSI Marine Equipment Group are BSI A/S, Gori Propeller A/S, Hundested Propeller A/S, Jefa Steering A/S, Lyngaa Marine, Moonlight A/S, OYS Ltd and Ocean Marine Systems (OMS) Ltd, and are based across multiple sites in Denmark, the UK, the USA and France.
